Auckland School of Woodworking

 

Auckland School of Woodworking is offering David and the workshop space for hire with the use of the portable machinery and the fixed machinery.  The dimension saw is not for participants use. David is willing to do the cutting for you.Please note that Auckland School of Woodworking does not offer any course or session recognised by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).

Each Saturday can accommodate a maximum of  six students. The typical duration of workshop use is 5 hours on Saturdays. .

The following courses can be available according to demand or tailor-made to suit individual needs.

These courses mentioned below are to give an idea of the depth of knowledge which is available :-

Sharpening and maintenance of hand tools

Marking out and cutting for butt hinges and drawer locks

Understanding hardwood and softwood timbers

Seasoning timber and understanding its movement

Hand veneering and inlaying

Types of surface treatments

Assembly and finishing ready for polishing

Hardware suitable for quality furniture

Making of a Cabriole leg.

Sharpening and Setting up of a surface Planer.

Setting up of a band saw, folding of the blade.

Get a group of 3 or 4 people together and David will commit to an evening to suit

the participants.$70.00 each. includes GST.TXT David on zero 21 One 3 nine 0 750.

 

 

Prior to use of any machine fixed or portable. Instruction must first be received from David. A form is required to be signed by each participant before use of any machine fixed or portable.
